We're Back!

As my kids would say: Oh, man!!! I wrote out this huge, long, brilliantly funny and fantastically insightful post, and the site ate it! I don't have the energy to reproduce it again. So instead, here's a recent posting Big M wrote to our family during our two-day drive home from Utah this week.

"In Ogallala...bloody finger...vandalized van...burned bald spot...must sleep. More later."

And that about sums it up.

Okay, maybe not. We did have a wonderful trip before all that happened, with camping with my parents, parades and BBQs with both sets of parents, lots of good Grandparent time for the kids, lots of good other-people's-babies holding time for me, and a 5K for Big M. Here are some pictures. And don't worry, the van should be fixed in a week or so, with us only $500 the poorer.

Well, except for the garage door we had to get fixed last week, and the new washing machine we had to buy when ours died a few days ago, and the new carpet for the basement where we got flooded, and . . .
